By registering with Pearce Placements through the website or by uploading documents via the Crewdentials platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions and the associated Privacy and Data Protection provisions.
Pearce Placements acts solely as a maritime recruitment service and does not employ crew directly unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement.
CANDIDATE REGISTRATION
By registering with Pearce Placements, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information regarding your identity, qualifications, employment history, certifications, and references.
You confirm that all documents uploaded to the system, including but not limited to: Passport(s), Seaman books, Certificates of Competency, STCW certificates, Medical certificates (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent), Training certificates, References, and employment records are genuine, valid, and belong to you.
Providing false or misleading information may result in removal from the Pearce Placements candidate database.
In order to receive job alerts or be considered for employment opportunities through Pearce Placements, candidates must register on the Pearce Placements website and complete their profile. As part of the registration process, candidates may be required to upload personal and professional documentation through the Crewdentials platform or other secure systems utilized by Pearce Placements. Such documentation may include, but is not limited to, passport information, seafarer identification documents, certificates, qualifications, references, and other employment-related records necessary for maritime recruitment and verification purposes.
By registering, you confirm that all information provided during registration and thereafter is accurate, complete, and up to date. You agree to promptly update your personal details or documentation if any information changes, so that Pearce Placements can communicate with you effectively and maintain accurate records.
During registration, you may be required to create login credentials, including a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for restricting access to your account. You must not share your password with any third party. If you become aware of, or suspect, any unauthorized use of your account or password, you must notify Pearce Placements immediately so that appropriate steps can be taken to protect your account.
DATA CONSENT AND PROCESSING
By registering with Pearce Placements and submitting personal information or documents, you consent to Pearce Placements collecting, storing, and processing your personal data for the purpose of recruitment and placement in maritime employment.
Personal data processed may include identification information, professional qualifications, employment history, contact details, travel documentation, and other information necessary to facilitate employment opportunities.

USE AND SHARING OF CANDIDATE PROFILES
You authorize Pearce Placements to:
Store your profile and documentation in its recruitment database
Review and assess your qualifications for maritime positions
Share your candidate profile, CV, and supporting documentation with vessel owners, ship managers, yacht captains, or authorized employers for legitimate recruitment purposes
Contact references or verify employment history where appropriate
Pearce Placements will only share your information with prospective employers or third parties directly involved in the recruitment process
VERIFICATION OF INFORMATION
You authorize Pearce Placements to verify information provided during registration, including:
Employment history
Professional references
Certificates and training records
Seafarer qualifications
Pearce Placements may request additional documentation or clarification if required for compliance or verification purposes.
DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Pearce Placements will implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect candidate data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Your data may be stored on secure recruitment platforms such as Crewdentials or other secure systems used by Pearce Placements.
Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary for recruitment purposes or as required by law.
CANDIDATE RIGHTS UNDER UK GDPR
As a registered candidate, you have the right:
Request access to your personal data Request correction of inaccurate data Request deletion of your personal data where legally permitted Withdraw consent to data processing Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances

NO RECRUITMENT FEES
In accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) and applicable recruitment regulations, Pearce Placements does not charge, solicit, or accept recruitment or placement fees from candidates or crew members for the purpose of securing employment.
Recruitment fees, where applicable, are paid solely by the employing company.
Candidates remain responsible only for personal documents or certifications that they are legally required to obtain, such as passports or training certificates.
Nothing in this clause shall permit the charging of recruitment or placement fees to seafarers, in accordance with UK law and MLC 2006 requirements
LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Pearce Placements acts as a recruitment intermediary only. The final hiring decision, employment terms, and onboard conditions are determined by the employer.
Pearce Placements does not guarantee employment and is not responsible for employment decisions made by vessel owners, managers, or captains.
AMENDMENTS
Pearce Placements reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the website and will apply to all subsequent candidate registrations.
